I really developed a strong interest in teaching medicine during my clinical sciences in medical school. Gaining expertise in medical profession is actually a lifelong learning process. From discussions with colleagues and other members of my medical fraternity, i have strongly come to believe that we learn a great deal as part of teaching. While reading along with interactive lectures, this provides the foundation for medical knowledge. Effective learning requires intellectual engagement, analytical discussion as well as sound clinical training. In my teaching role, I have always encouraged critical thinking among my students and encourage them to also keep abreast of the changes occurring around the medical profession, so that they evolve as well-rounded individuals.
