My teaching philosophy is simple. I believe people learn to do whatever they do deliberately, successfully, and repeatedly. Therefore I teach by direction-giving. My English classes focus on medically related topics about which the students read, write, analyze and discuss. In my Medical Ethics courses the students solve ethical case studies, then write and discuss their solutions using the correct ethical terminology.
