As a professor of Biology I try to guide students into enjoying Biology as much as I do. The courses that I teach are the two introductory courses in Biology offered at Avalon School of Medicine. This course will serve as the basis or building blocks for their further classes as they continue into Medical School. I try to make Biology both interesting and challenging. I have always enjoyed science and specifically the area of Biology. As I go into each new semester I try to adapt the class to the requirement and level of the entering students. However, it is important to also challenge the students to understand the topics covered in class so that they can become part of their common knowledge which will be used as they continue their studies in medicine.
