Ms. Barbara Ricks, M.Ed.

I share the same teaching philosophy as my teaching partner, Dr. Don Ricks. We believe people learn to do whatever they do deliberately, successfully, and repeatedly. Therefore we both teach by direction-giving. Our English classes focus on medically related topics about which the students read, write, analyze and discuss. In my Psychology course the students learn content through study guides, learning projects, and many, many quizzes. They analyze and solve psychological case studies, constantly testing themselves and each other on knowledge essential for future medical studies.
